The Two Homes
Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Lily. Lily loved to draw, play with her toys, and spend time with her mum and dad. But one day, things changed. Lily's parents told her they were going to live in two different houses.
At first, Lily felt scared and confused. She didn't understand why she couldn't have both her parents in one home anymore. Her tummy felt like it was full of butterflies, and sometimes she felt like crying.
Lily's mum lived in a cozy blue house with a beautiful garden. When Lily stayed there, they would plant flowers together and make yummy cookies. Lily loved the smell of fresh cookies in the oven and the pretty flowers in the garden.
Lily's dad lived in a red brick house with a big backyard. When Lily visited, they would build pillow forts and have picnics under the stars. Lily loved the adventures she had with her dad and the stories they made up together.
As time went by, Lily realised something wonderful. She didn't have just one home anymore – she had two special homes filled with love! In her mum's house, she had her favourite blue blanket and a shelf full of books. In her dad's house, she had her favourite teddy bear and a special drawing corner.
Lily learned that home isn't just a place; it's where you feel loved and safe. She felt loved and safe with both her mum and her dad, even though they lived in different houses now.
Lily's parents might not live together anymore, but they both loved her very much. They always made sure Lily knew that their love for her would never change, no matter where they lived.
And so, Lily discovered that having two homes meant having twice the love, twice the hugs, and twice the happiness.
